Compassionate Culture
In 2021 I was invited to become one of the seven nationwide artists to run a creative programme around loss in association with the Irish Hospice Foundation.
I ran workshops on Thursday mornings in Killruddery during a cold but beautiful winter. We spent some time in shelter creating art, crafts and writing but most of our sessions were spent outdoors in the forest where participants chose their tree for the duration of the programme.
This was a profound experience during which I had the great honour to listen to participants speak of their loss and guide them in creating with nature as part of their grief journey.
